Email Series - automated scheduled emails

Get organised and automated with your email marketing

Set up a series of emails to follow a particular action.

A "trigger point", "action" or "event" could be someone clicking on a link in your email, completing a survey, or opting-in to your list etc.

So, as an example, when someone opts-in to your list you can automatically have a series of emails sent to them which includes an email:

2 days later letting them know a bit about the business, introducing your team, some valuable content and a link to copies of previous e-newsletters.

10 days later letting them know about some of the products and services you have.

3 months down the track linking to a survey asking them what they think about your e-newsletters, products/services, website and the like.

  • All this can happen while you are still sending important alerts and your regular e-newsletters to your entire list at once.
  • Email marketing is about building relationships. Consider what you can do to build trust to make your subscribers more open to sales focused emails.
  • If you're too busy or on the road, at least you know that communications are being made to people who have recently subscribed.
  • Effective e-marketing is not just about sending emails - it's about planning and quality communications.

The email series is great for:

  • sales leads
  • follow ups
  • e-courses
  • fitness training regimes
  • reminders
  • e-books (sending chapters as part of a series)
  • coaching series

An email series:

  • cannot replace other quality email communication. It should form part of your overall e-marketing strategy.
  • must be permission-based as with all email marketing and include an unsubscribe option and your contact details.
